• You should have instrumental lessons on your chosen instrument and be approximately Grade 4 standard or above. • You must be able to attend performances and practice your performance skills in School Performance Showcases.
Performing A (25%) Present a 6-minute performance of 2 contrasting pieces. B (35%) Present a 10-minute performance of 3 contrasting pieces. Composing A (35%) Compose 2 pieces and 3 short technical exercises (8 minutes). B (25%) Compose 2 pieces (4 minutes). Listening and Appraising (40%) Written exam with musical extracts based on the Areas of Study.
