Biology is one of the most popular A Level subjects in the country, attracting students studying a wide range of other subjects. Many of these students enjoy the subject so much they eventually choose a biologically related degree course. Others go on to careers in law, computing, accounting or teaching. So, whatever field you will eventually work in, you will find biology a very rewarding and challenging course which will develop many of the skills essential for a successful career. Assessment is through examinations that test both subject knowledge and biological practical skills. Practical skills are taught through a series of set practicals that must be completed by students. We require students that are fully committed to the study of biology and take an active and enthusiastic interest in the subject both inside and outside of school. Studying biology is a rewarding and exciting experience for those with a passion for a subject that will explore the world and life around them.
