Course summary

Psychology is the scientific study of the human mind and behavior. During this course, you will develop transferable skills that are valued by employers & universities such as independent learning, self-reflection, critical thinking, teamwork, analytical and presentation skills. You will also learn how Psychology is used to explain aggressive behaviors and gender differences. What you will study: ● Unit 1: Psychological Approaches and Applications ● Unit 2: Conducting Psychological Research ● Unit 3: Health Psychology ● Unit 4: Optional Module – An introduction to Psychopathology

Entry requirements

5 x grade 4s or above at GCSE or equivalent. You will need a GCSE grade 4 in Mathematics, a grade 4 in English Language, and a grade 4 in Science.

How you'll be assessed

Two external examinations – 60%. Two pieces of Coursework – 40%. Unit 1 and Unit 3 are externally assessed with each exam taking place in the January of the first and second year of the course.
