Course summary

This is an ideal choice if you have a mathematical brain and like problem-solving. You will gain technical knowledge and the ability to analyze and solve problems. We will teach you how to understand in-depth how the computer works and what it can do. You will also develop programming skills. Entry requirements

5 x grade 5s or above at GCSE or equivalent. GCSE grade 6 in Maths grade 4 in English Language and a grade 5 in Computer Science (if studied).

How you'll be assessed

You will be introduced to the internal workings of the Central Processing Unit (CPU), how data is exchanged, how to develop software and the legal and ethical issues associated with the use of computer systems.
