This course will develop your interest in and enthusiasm for history and an understanding of its intrinsic value and significance. You will acquire an understanding of different identities within society and an appreciation of aspects such as social, cultural, religious and ethnic diversity, building on your understanding of the past through experiencing a broad and balanced course of study. You will learn about British Democracy, and how British culture has changed over time. American Politics, society and economics. Public Health looks at how poverty and public health are linked.
Students will be required to have 5 or more GCSE passes (or equivalent) at Grade 4 or above.
3 papers at the end of Year 2 - 2 x 1.5 hours and 1 x 1.5 hours, there is also a coursework component of 2000 words.
