The Applied General in Engineering offers a more practical and hands on approach than the traditional A Level route for engineering; although it can be taken alongside A Level Maths and Physics as well. It is a good introduction to the principles of engineering and their application and will enable you to actively experience the engineering environment. You will examine the engineering workplace both locally and nationally.
At least 4 GCSEs at grade 4 including English Language and/or Maths. In addition to the level 3 Applied General entry requirements, you will need a minimum of grade 5 in GCSE Maths.
Assessment will combine written assignments and practical projects that will be based on realistic workplace situations.
