A Level Geography will see you travel the world from the classroom, exploring the impact of a wide range of current affairs and environmental issues across the globe. Geography will fuel your curiosity and widen your perspectives as you investigate the workings of the physical world and the ways in which people interact with it. As part of the course, you will work in the field to gather evidence that will inform your studies. You’ll explore the Yorkshire coast to discover more about coastal defences, the streets and waterfront area of the vibrant city of Liverpool, and may travel as far afield as the Italian island of Sicily to research its unique geography.
Entry Criteria: • 4 GCSEs at grade 5. • 2 GCSEs at grade 4 including GCSE English Language and GCSE Maths. You’ll need to meet the entry criteria for your chosen pathway and achieve grade 4 in GCSE Geography, if taken. If you haven’t taken GCSE Geography then you’ll need at least one grade 4 in a GCSE Science.
A Levels are traditional academic qualifications assessed largely by exams at the end of the two-year period.
