Electricians can be self-employed or work directly for companies, so if you want a job that’s far from 9 to 5, then a career as an electrician could be perfect. The course will include covering electrotechnical knowledge, electrical science and the practical application of theory in the workshop. Note: this course is subject to Level 3 reform funding.
You will need a grade 4/C in both GCSE maths and English and two other GCSEs at Grade 3/D or above. You will also need to have previously completed the Level 2 qualification.
