Course summary

This qualification offers an engaging and effective introduction to Psychology, which is the scientific study of the human brain and behaviour. Students will learn the fundamentals of the subject and develop skills valued by universities and employers, including critical analysis, independent thinking and research skills. There are a range of topics covered in the course which are outlined below. There is a breadth of knowledge studied throughout the two year course, which includes studying infamous psychological experiments as well as the functioning of the brain and our memories amongst many other topics. Research methods and skills are an important part of the course and although there is no coursework element, students are encouraged to carry out their own practical research and engage in scientific report writing.
