This intermediate course is for you if you have an interest and/or passion for the beauty industry and want to explore potential careers. Your course will be a mix of salon, classroom and workshop sessions that explore practical skills, working with employers and the local community and work experience. Course content includes facials, waxing, manicures and pedicures, gel polish, cosmetic makeup and eye treatments, lash lifts, anatomy and physiology, spray tanning and, principles of practice for beauty therapists You will hone relevant workplace skills such as client care, wider communication and commercial skills and problem-solving. This is an exam-based qualification with theory and practical examinations. If you are 16-18 you will also complete maths and English qualifications to grade 4 if you haven’t got them, as they are essential in this industry.
