Course summary

The aim of the course is to ensure that you develop both a sound command of Spanish and an appreciation of the culture of Spanish speaking countries. During the course you will have access to a wide range of resources to improve and deepen your knowledge. The study of the topic areas will encourage the development of all four language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) and will involve the use of video recordings, newspapers, magazines, websites and a wealth of audio material. You will benefit from a stimulating course which develops intellectual skills and independent learning, enabling you to use a foreign language for the purpose of practical communication. Aspects of society-social issues and trends, Artistic culture, Multiculturalism in Hispanic society, Aspects of political life in Hispanic society, Grammar, Literary texts and films.
