The course combines classroom activities with practical lessons allowing you to put the theory into practice. Year 1: Engineering Principles; Delivery of Engineering Processes Safely as a Team; Product Design & Manufacture; Applied Commercial & Quality Principles; Electronic Devices & Circuits; Manufacturing Secondary Machine Processes; Computer Aided Design (CAD) and you will undertake work experience in the engineering sector. Year 2: Engineering Project; Calculus to Solve Engineering Problems; Aircraft Gas Turbine Engines; Dynamic Principles & Practice; Aircraft Flight Principles & Practices; Fabrication Manufacturing Processes; Aircraft Propulsion Systems and Microcontoller Systems for Engineers.
You need five GCSEs at grade 9-4 (A* to C) including English language, maths and science or a Level 2 Diploma at Merit or Distinction Level in Engineering. You will also be required to attend an interview.
