The Level 2 Technical Certificate in Business Enterprise programme is the ideal starting point for students who wish to study business or finance sectors or higher education with a view of progressing onto higher level Business qualifications. The course covers a broad range of units in business, enterprise and finance. It is an ideal qualification for learners intending to progress directly to employment in a business, or to a Level 3 Technical qualification or an Apprenticeship.
Four GCSE’s at grade 3 or above to include Maths and English.* *The College reserves the right to ask for a school reference if required.
This qualification has 100% mandatory content and 25% external assessment. Assessment is mainly by coursework, which is marked by your lecturers. Unit 1: The Business Enterprise Environment is an on-demand exam unit, and your teacher will set the date once you have completed the unit. Work Experience is a part of this course, the hours and dates will be determined by the course tutor. Work experience can be up to a maximum of two weeks on an external placement, you are encouraged to source your own placement with support from the WEX Team and your course tutor. Where external placements are not possible you will be expected to take part in simulated work experience organised by the college.
