This qualification is for students who want to continue their education through applied learning and to progress to higher education and ultimately to employment, possibly in the legal sector. It aims to give a coherent introduction to study of the legal sector. It is designed to be taken as part of a program of study that includes other appropriate BTEC Nationals or A Levels. It provides the basis of an excellent route for learners to pursue a career in the legal sector. This can be through higher education (degrees in business and law) or through an Advanced Apprenticeship in Legal Services. You will study a balance of legal areas including civil law, criminal law, and family law.
To study BTEC courses you will need to have achieved 5 grade 4s or better at GCSE.
You will be assessed by coursework and examination.
