Learn about the principles and requirements of environmental technology systems, understand system installation planning and increase your knowledge in complex water systems. You will also learn how to design systems. You will be able to fine tune your skills in plumbing to understand complex systems and installations. You will learn about the principles and requirements of environmental technology systems, understand system installation planning and increase your knowledge in complex water systems. You will also learn about domestic gas principles which will open a pathway for you to train in Gas Installation. There will also be an opportunity to improve your employability skills during work expereince placements before you head off and start your career as a plumber. Units during the course include: • Health and safety in building services engineering • Principles and requirements of environmental technology systems • Plumbing system installation planning • Complex cold water systems • Hot water systems • Sanitation and drainage systems • Central heating systems
Successful completion of the Level 2 course, and English and maths GCSE at grade 4.
Assessments will take place throughout the duration of the course. Practical tasks will make up 50% of the assessment and 50% will be made up of exams. Accuracy and being able to complete tasks within a set time constraint are essential for successful completion. Constructive feedback from your tutor will also help you to improve and progress towards recognised industrial standards.
