The Government has set out the need for the health and social care sectors to develop new integrated care models to promote health and wellbeing and provide care. Working in social care means supporting people with their non-clinical need and this programme will enable you to do this.
A successful DBS clearance and one of the following: - Possess a relevant Level 2 or have experience of working - Volunteering within the Health and Social Care sector
You will be taught using a range of teaching techniques including classroom delivered sessions, interactive workshops and self-study. Most teaching will take place in the classroom, with some opportunities for you to access online learning. You will also undertake a placement (voluntary or paid) to gain vital experience and to inform your learning. Assessment methods include; formal written tasks; presentations; independent learning; poster presentation; case studies. You will compile a portfolio to demonstrate your learning of subject knowledge and transferable key skills and undertake a set assessment.
