Course summary

This course will suit you if you are a musician who enjoys performing, composition and developing your listenig and analysing skills. This course explores music through a close combination of performing, composition, listening and analysing. Studies focus on Western Classical Music as well as exploring Art Music and Music for Theatre. You will develop the skills necessary to research, analyse and reflect critically upon music through a wide range of practical, written and listening-based tasks. You will prepare details written essays on the music you have studied and undertake a practical performance exam.
