The course is split into three components and is designed to encourage you to watch, engage critically with and explore a wide range of film; to develop and sustain confident, personal responses to film via textual analysis; and to enjoy a variety of critically acclaimed films across the major genres.
The minimum requirement for this course is grade 5 in either English Language or English Literature and a genuine interest in film.
Component 1: Varieties of film and film making - Written examination: 2 hours, 30 minutes 35% of qualification Component 2: Global film making perspectives - Written examination: 2 hours, 30 minutes 35% of qualification Component 3: Coursework worth 30%.
