Course summary

The successful study of Music Technology requires a wide range of skills and students are encouraged to embrace different ways of thinking about music. Our A level in Music Technology course has the following structure: • Studio recording techniques – The capture, mix, and master of audio in a studio environment. • Music technology-based composition – Combining audio, sequencing, sampling, and many other techniques to create an innovative and original composition. • Listening and analyzing examination – Technology-focused exam questions and questions relating to the history of music technology – from the jukebox to high-tech modern studio recording and everything in between. • Producing and analyzing examination – The practical application of the many sound engineering and production techniques learned throughout your time on the course.

Entry requirements

Achieve at least five grade 5-9 (including Maths and English).
