Art and Design

Course summary

Students are introduced to a variety of experiences that explore a range of Art and Design media, processes and techniques. They will explore the use of drawing for different purposes, using a variety of methods and media on a variety of scales. Students will develop and apply relevant subject-specific skills to visually communicate ideas, meanings and responses. A high level of technical ability and/or passion for the subject and desire to learn is required. Over time, students will be expected to reflect critically on their journey and make decisions about their work. Confidence and the ability to learn independently are essential.
