Course summary
Psychology is the scientific study of human behaviour; its goal is to apply scientific methods such as operationalisation, control and hypothesis testing to enable us to understand complex human behaviours. It contains elements of social psychology as well as the thorough study of biology; focusing on the way our actions and thoughts are shaped by society as well as by our brain, hormones and neurotransmitters. Studying A Level Psychology enables you to develop critical thinking skills, to analyse and interpret real life phenomenon, as well as conduct your own practical investigations. You will also investigate various psychological theories and studies, learn how Psychology research is conducted, and understand the scientific and mathematical aspects of gathering results from research.
