Course summary

In Europe, Spanish is the second most popular second language, after English. With some 400 milion speakers, Spanish is the fourth most commonly spoken language in the world. The sheer number of Spanish speakers and their rate of growth makes learning Spanish a smart choice. In addition, it is now commonplace for proficiency in languages to be sought among employers. More and more professions require you to work in a multilingual environment and there are few companies who do not have customers, if not branches, abroad. Just have a look at some higher education prospectuses and you will see how many of them combine science, ICT, engineering, management and business studies with languages.
