There are three equally weighted components to the A Level. They are Education with Theory and Methods, Topics in Sociology and Crime and Deviance with Theory and Methods. The optional topics studied include Families and Households and Beliefs in Society.
Minimum of 5 GCSE grades at 9-4 or BTEC Distinction* - Pass. A grade 6 in GCSE English Literature and grade 6 in another Humanities subject e.g. Geography, History, Sociology, Religious Studies.
