The main aim of the course is to develop awareness of the nature of politics and the relationship between ideas, institutions and processes, in particular with reference to the political systems of the UK and USA. It will appeal to students who enjoy debating current affairs, like a subject that affects their everyday lives, enjoy taking part in decision-making exercises and want to create options in further education and their subsequent careers
- GCSE grade 5 in HISTORY or essay-based subject - Five GCSEs at grade 9-5/A*-C, including English and Maths will be required
