Course summary

Anyone with an interest in society, the family, education, criminology and the role of religion in society. You will study many aspects of contemporary society including socialisation, culture and identity. You will study the education system including policy and patterns of achievement. You will then go on to look at the role of the family in modern British society, and about the role of religion in western society looking specifically at fundamentalism. Finally, you will learn about crime, deviance and reasons why someone turns to crime.
