Course summary

A-Level in three Sections: • The British Empire c. 1857 -1967 • Democracy and Nazism: Germany 1918 - 1945 • Historical Investigation: Russia 1682-1855 Students undertake a Historical Investigation into a topic of relative free choice within the time frame above. This assignment will cover a minimum of 100 years and be no more than 4,000 words. The assignment will be chosen from a preapproved selection of topics, in conjunction with the department staff.

Entry requirements

- Grade 5 or above in GCSE History and Grade 5 or above in GCSE Language or Literature - Students must achieve a grade 4 or above in either GCSE English or GCSE Mathematics to be considered for Sixth Form entry
