Chemistry A-Level is an exciting, laboratory-based course, which explores the laws of chemistry and demonstrates how these laws and the skills of the chemist have been exploited to give us our present high standard of living. Practical work is a fundamental part of the approach to the teaching and learning of Chemistry. Over the two years, you will study organic, inorganic and physical Chemistry, general and practical principles in Chemistry, and undertake the Practical Endorsement assessment. Chemistry is a challenging subject, and the A-Level now places a greater emphasis on mathematical skills, with 20% of exam questions requiring a high level of mathematical ability.
