Course summary
BTEC Sport is an exciting diverse qualification suited to those who have a passion for sport and are considering a future career in this field. The BTEC Sport course we offer is a Level 3 Diploma course which is the equivalent to two A Levels. The BTEC National Diploma in Sport is a vocational course that teaches students the knowledge required to pursue a career in sport. It is the equivalent of two A Levels. Students spend time in both the classroom and in practical lessons developing their knowledge and skills. Students learn in a positive and fun learning environment with opportunities to learn from professionals who work in the sports industry. Students study four units in Year 12: Anatomy and Physiology, Fitness Training and Programming, Professional Development in the sports industry and Sports Leadership. Students study five units in Year 13: Business in sport, Skill acquisition, Fitness testing, Sports injuries and Coaching for performance.
