The three overarching themes of the New A Level Further Mathematics specification are: 1. Mathematical argument, language and proof 2. Mathematical problem-solving 3. Mathematical modelling
Potential students will need to have gained a Grade 8 or 9 at GCSE to be equipped for the challenge of Further Mathematics. Further Mathematics will need to be taken as a separate option alongside A Level Mathematics.
