For example, Chemistry is an important subject for careers in: medicine, biomedical science, veterinary science, dentistry, environmental science, engineering, toxicology, developing perfumes and cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, energy, teaching, science writing, software development and research.
Our entry requirements are five grades awarded 9–5 at GCSE/L2 pass or above at BTEC/CTEC equivalent including a minimum of GCSE Grades 5 or above in English & Maths. In addition, some subjects require a GCSE Grade 6 or above in specific entry requirements (see pages 12 and 13). For the A level programme a level 2 BTEC/CTEC Merit counts as an equivalent GCSE Grade 5. English 5 Maths 5 GCSE grade 5 in Sciences are essential
