This ensures that you have a solid basis to excel in the course and maximise your learning experience. Native speakers of French can be admitted without a GCSE in French, subject to a language test.
The A Level French examination (AQA) consists of three components: Listening, Reading and Translation (2 hours 30 minutes) Writing – Essays on Literature and Film (2 hours) Speaking – a topic card and an individual research project (21-23 minutes)
