A A-level psychology is the study of mind and behaviour. The course is designed to provide an introduction to the nature of Psychology as a science. The emphasis is on applying knowledge and understanding rather than just acquiring knowledge. This develops students’ skills of analysis, evaluation and critical thinking.
In order to take A Level Psychology, students will have gained a 5 in Science (Or Biology if triple science) & Maths GCSE.
Paper 1—2-hour written exam. 33.3% of total A Level mark. Paper 2—2-hour written exam. 33.3% of total A Level mark. Paper 3—2-hour written exam. 33.3% of total A Level mark. No coursework.
