Course summary

This two year course takes a linguistic approach to the study of representations and meanings of language, examining how texts are a product of contextual influences. Students will cover a range of topics to investigate the meanings and representations of English Language, including: occupation, gender, accent, dialect, social class, world English, history of English and child language acquisition.
