The aim of the course is to offer you the opportunity to gain the skills demanded by employers in accounting and finance, whilst achieving an internationally recognised qualification that could ultimately lead to the full AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) Accounting Qualification and full AAT membership. You will attend the College on a full-time basis over one year. There will also be study time to enable you to consolidate the work carried out in lectures. All units are mandatory and the subjects include; - Financial Accounting - Management Accounting - Computerised Accounting - Payroll - Business Law - Business Skills
You will need 4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above and a grade 5 or above in maths. If you do not have these qualifications and are keen to join the course, we will be happy to consider and advise you individually.
You are assessed against the standards of competence laid down by the AAT, you will need to achieve a minimum of 70 per cent in all of the computer-based assessments.
