Criminology Course Overview: - Changing Awareness of Crime - Criminology Theories In addition to the core Criminology units, students will also study: - Personal Development - citizenship skills: including equality and diversity to treat others with respect and fairness, embrace differences and, prevent radicalisation. Also, health and safety, safe use of IT, safeguarding, preparation for work and job search skills. - Periodic personal reviews with course/personal tutor to monitor performance by celebrating successes and setting targets for improvement. - A 36-hour placement which students must source to be able to develop work related transferable skills. Students also receive Careers guidance, support in preparation for and completion of the application to UCAS. There is also support to secure an Apprenticeship.
GCSE English Language at grade 5 plus Maths at grade 4 and two other GCSE's at grade 4. You also will be asked to sit a short written assessment to determine your appropriate level of study when you enrol.
There is a combination of coursework assignments and externally set exams.
