Course summary
Students can progress into many subject-related degree courses, such as events management, business and marketing, or business and finance. They can also access apprenticeships and training schemes within the business industry. Year 12: Unit 2 Developing a marketing campaign (controlled assessment) - Students complete in controlled conditions a task linked to pre-released information where they will be asked to plan, generate, and complete a suitable marketing campaign. Unit 3 Personal and Business Finance (Exam) - Students will draw on their knowledge of this section to complete a practical exam in exam conditions. They will learn and apply skills in terms of the purpose and importance of personal business finance including the skills and knowledge needed to understand analyze and prepare financial information. Year 13 : Unit 1 Exploring Business (mandatory unit) - Students complete a series of tasks based on a work-based scenario that links to the chosen unit title. This unit aims to give learners the fundamental knowledge of a range of business organizations, and the many factors that shape organizations operating in an increasingly complex business world. Unit 8 The recruitment and selection process (optional unit internally assessed) - Students will look at the recruitment process and how it works, completing suitable documentation that would be required in this process, and will look at the methods of customer service used in business and evaluate the importance of this.
