Our hands-on electrician courses will help you develop the skills to become a qualified electrician. You’ll learn in our electrical workshop - built to industry standards - mastering electrical principals and installation techniques. Units studied include: - Health and safety in building services engineering - Understand the fundamental principles and requirements of environmental technology systems - Principles of electrical science - Electrical installations: fault diagnosis and rectification - Electrical Installations: inspection, testing and commissioning - Electrical systems design - Career awareness in building services engineering
Completion of the Level 2 in Electrical Installations, along with an interview and good levels of literacy and numeracy is a requirement of entry. Applications from mature students will be assessed on an individual basis and consideration will be given to students who have completed a previous electrical qualification such as the 2330 or the 2360.
Each unit will be assessed through an assignment which incorporates both theory and practical elements.
