A Level Drama is about: • Understanding the social, cultural and historical contexts of performance texts and how they have influenced the development of drama and theatre. • Understanding and learning the practices used in twenty-first century theatre making. • Experiencing a range of opportunities to create theatre, both published text-based and devised work. • Developing the ability to analyze theatre from the viewpoint of the director, actor, designer and audience member.
Grade 5 at GCSE.
In Component 1 students are assessed by the centre and marks are externally moderated. Component 2 is assessed by a visiting examiner. Component 3 is a formal written exam, externally marked.
