This course will take you on a fascinating journey where you will develop an understanding of the complex and rapidly changing world in which we all live. This course will cover topics such as: Culture and Identity, Education, Crime and Deviance, Beliefs in Society, Theory and Methods, so that you develop a critical awareness of society today and a deeper understanding of how the social world shapes and controls us. It is a relevant and thought- provoking course, set to challenge and inspire you. This A level would lead directly into subject related university courses and careers, and indirectly into a wide range of higher education courses and career choices.
4 grade 4's and 2 grade 5's at GCSE. Minimum grade 5 in GCSE Sociology or grade 5 in English if not studied at GCSE.
Three, two hour exams, one for each strand of the course.
