Year 12 Content: Aspects of German-speaking society: family, digital world, youth culture, fashion, music, TV Artistic culture in the German-speaking world: festivals, art and architecture, Berlin film: Goodbye Lenin – a film set in Berlin around the time of the fall of the Berlin Wall. The film cleverly reveals the difference between life in East and West Germany at the time. Grammar – will revise and go beyond that of GCSE. Year 13 Content: Multiculturalism: immigration, integration, racism Aspects of political life in the German-speaking world: Germany and the EU, Youth and politics, the reunification of Germany Literary text: Die verlorene Ehre der Katherine Blum – a tragic heroine, or an evil manipulator? You will discuss this whilst looking at the background of the setting of this book. Grammar – a revision of Year 12, moving onto university level.
