In the first year, you will learn about biological molecules and cells, how organisms exchange substances with their environment, genetic information, genetic variation, and the relationships between organisms. Throughout the year you will undertake six practical activities to reinforce your learning. Your second year of study will center around energy transfers in and between organisms, how organisms respond to changes in their environments, the control of gene expression, and further study on genetics including populations, evolution, and ecosystems.
Students require a minimum of Grade 4 in either English Language or English Literature and a Grade 4 in Math's. In total five grade 4’s are required. If you want to study Biology you will need a Grade 5 in Mathematics
