You will study ten units across the two years. Units include; Unit 1: The Business Environment* Unit 2: Working in Business* Unit 3: Business Decisions* Unit 4: Customers and Communication Unit 5: Marketing and Market Research Unit 6: Marketing Strategy Unit 7: Marketing Campaign Unit 15: Change Management* Unit 16: Principles of Project management Unit 22: Delivering a business project *externally assessed Year 12 Extended Certificate In your first year you will learn about how businesses function and run on a daily basis. You will also be working on assignments that focus on communication skills used within a real business setting as well as producing marketing and market research for a business. This year also enables you to work on planning a project and thereby gain new skills relevant to the working world. Year 13 Diploma In the second year of the course you will use your previous knowledge to help you to consider decision making at management level, understand the process businesses have to go through when making changes as well as working on a marketing campaign. Finally you will be planning and delivering a business project in the same way a real project manager would be expected to.

Four externally assessed examinations Six internally assessed portfolios When completing the OCR Cambridge Technical Level 3 Diploma in Business, four units are externally assessed by examination whilst the other six are all internally assessed. The internal assessment approach means that you receive feedback regarding your progress throughout the course.
