If you are interested in watching, reviewing and analysing a diverse range of films, then this is the course for you! The specification is designed to introduce A Level learners to a wide variety of films in order to broaden their knowledge and understanding of film and the range of responses films can generate. It aims to enable learners to: apply critical approaches to film and apply knowledge and understanding of film through either filmmaking or screenwriting. Most of all, it offers the opportunity to explore a range of important ideas and emotions, reflect on art and technology and connect theory and creative practice in ways which are designed to provide an absorbing and motivating educational experience.
5 x grade 5 or above (including GCSE Maths and English Language)
80% examinations (x2) and 20% coursework task.
