Course summary

Geography is an engaging and flexible course allowing you to study the relationships between human populations and their physical environments at a variety of levels from local to global. You will consider your own role in relation to the key issues studied, as geography plays a huge part in all our everyday lives. Jobs may be found in all areas, from drilling for oil in the middle of the ocean, to conservation work in tropical ecosystems. Geographers help to find natural resources and research into alternative energy technologies. With qualifications in Geography, you can help change the future. As part of your course you will have the opportunity to engage in practical fieldwork activities.

Entry requirements

For A-level programmes: 6 GCSEs at grade 9-4 (to include 3 GCSEs at grade 9-4 and 3 GCSEs at grade 9-5). Require grade 9-4 in English Language and Maths. For A-level Geography: Grade 9-5 English Language; Grade 9-4 Geography (if studied).
