This Cambridge Technical sport course is designed for students with an interest in sport, exercise and health. The vocational course is set out as a unit-based structure across the 2 years, where you will be assessed using various methods from a formal exam to leadership and coursework. The course is based on developing knowledge within the fitness industry and focusses on the role of Fitness Instructor. Students are required to complete 8 units across the two years, which will develop your knowledge and understanding in a range of aspects within the Sports industry. The units covered will include topics from a theory-based approach, such as Anatomy and Physiology, Health and Safety and Sports Rehabilitation, but you will also have the opportunity to demonstrate practical skills in units assessed on, Sports Coaching and Group Exercise to music.
Pass (P2) in Cambridge National in Sport Studies or Sport Science.
A range of assessment types and styles will be used: 3 externally assessed Units (written exams) 5 internally assessed assignments (coursework)
