xWhy should I study this course? Geography is one of the most important subjects in helping us understand the world around us. Whether it’s the Human Geography or Physical Geography aspects, the subject has never been more relevant. Studying the A-Level, you will quickly realise there are some similarities in content to GCSE however, the course takes you much deeper into a range of theories.

Entry requirements

Students should ideally have studied Geography at GCSE and achieved a Grade 5 or higher.

The course is assessed in the following way; Paper 1 (Physical): Written exam: 2 hours 30 minutes, 120 marks, 40% of A-level Paper 2 (Human): Written exam: 2 hours 30 minutes, 120 marks, 40% of A-level NEA: 3,000–4,000 words, 60 marks, 20% of A-level
