The course begins with a broad skills-based experience in the Lower Sixth, where students have the chance to improve their skills in drawing, painting, printing and sculpture using many different materials. In the Upper Sixth students work on their two marked projects, the first a substantial coursework project, which includes an accompanying essay, and a number of final outcomes; the second an externally set exam project which culminates in a 15 hour exam piece. As part of the course we visit The Henry Moore Foundation, galleries in London.
Students with a GCSE average point score* of between 4.0 and 5.0 must include at least one Cambridge Technical in their three courses Grade 5 in GCSE Art.
