The objective of the qualification is to support progression to higher education. The content of this qualification has been developed in consultation with higher education providers to ensure that it supports this progression. In addition, employers and professional bodies have been involved and consulted to confirm that the content is appropriate and consistent with current practice.
You should have at least 5 GCSEs at grade 4 and above including English and maths.
Learners will be awarded a pass, merit, distinction, or distinction* qualification grade (or combination of these grades appropriate to the qualification) by the aggregation of points gained through the achievement of individual units.
