You will investigate business decision-making and strategy in four key themes: ➢ Marketing and people – an understanding of the market, marketing strategies, managing people and leadership ➢ Managing business activities – raising finance, financial planning, resource management and external influences on business ➢ Business decisions and strategy – business growth, decision-making, assessing competitiveness and managing change ➢ Global business – develop an understanding of globalisation, global markets and multinational corporations An annual enterprise competition is offered to Lower Sixth students, and the department organises business trips and visits from local business people.
Students with a GCSE average point score* of between 5.0 and 7.0 are strongly encouraged to take three A Level courses Grade 6 in GCSE Business and Grade 5 in Maths. If you have not previously studied Business, a grade 6 is required in History, RE or Geography and a grade 4 in English.
