You will study various topics the core units of study are listed below and optional units will be chosen for year 2: - Communication- - Equality and Diversity - Health and Safety - Development through life stages- - Anatomy and physiology- - Personal and professional development- - Psychology and Sociology.

Entry requirements

Minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above or relevant Level 2 qualification at Merit grade, plus GCSE English at grade C/4 and reference. We will also consider Level 2 functional skills.

How you'll be assessed

To pass this course you will be expected to meet deadlines for assignments for each topic area. Assessment is via practical work- group work- presentations- essays and discussions. There are no external exams for the BTEC course but students will sit Maths exams.
